What our clients say about our workshops and photographers
I hired Rome Photography Workshop to take me around the most famous attractions. I booked with the owner, Claudia, who was very accommodating to my schedule, it was very painless. I meet up with Giulio on a very early morning in front of the Castel Sant’Angelo. Giulio knows the city very well. He also gave me some tips on composing my photos so they don’t look like most of the other shots. But the most important thing Giulio did was take me to this local coffee shop not too far from the Pantheon, where I get to eat with the locals. The food was so great there that I ended up going back there to have lunch after our photo walk. If you ever find yourself in Rome and need a photo guide, I would highly recommend you contact Claudia.”
Lorraine and I had a sensational time with Giulio the other day on your “Morning Light” tour. Giulio delivered everything we hoped for and more. He got us to the right places at the right times in order to take advantage of the best light. He brought us to the best known monuments and beautiful, off-the-beaten-track spots. Giulio was a great guide and coach. I’ve been taking photos for years but, with Giulio, found I still had plenty to learn. He was patient, accommodating and clearly loves what he does. His enthusiasm was contagious. He was also a fascinating person to spend the morning with.
Thank you, too, for your responsiveness and willingness to answer all our questions quickly and thoroughly.”
Our photography workshop with Giulio on 01/07/17 was fantastic. We met at 6am in Trastevere, an area of Rome that we love. The streets had not yet been cleaned so Giulio suggest we take a walk to some other areas to find some nice shots. We later returned to Trastevere after exploring some areas of Rome we had never visited before. Giulio’s knowledge of Rome and photography is second to none, and we very much appreciated how much he wanted to share; he went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our experience. Thank you so much Giulio, our shots are great and we will treasure the memories.”
Giulio was unbelievably super!! Such a nice person and a fantastic pro. Thank you again I had a wonderful evening and a super shoot.”
I took Rome Photography Workshop tour when my family stopped by Rome for a Mediterranean cruise very recently. We stayed in Rome for 2 days prior to the cruise and I wanted to make sure that my family will see all the historic and scenic highlights of the Eternal City.
I booked the tour online ahead of time and Claudia was very prompt in responding to my queries. I had so many questions and she made sure she answered all of them to my satisfaction. Based on my need and schedule, she assigned Giulio to be our photography tour guide. The tour was private and there’s only me, my wife and a 15 year-old son. I was the main active (DSLR) photographer in the family and the 2 others were big iPhone photoshooters.
Giulio was very professional and very knowledgeable in photography. I consider myself a novice in photography and needed a lot of things to learn but Giulio never made me feel intimidated taking photos while on the tour. He taught me a lot of things especially in composition and proper exposure – those were my main goals. Not only that Giulio delivered but he exceeded my expectation. Giulio was native Roman so he knows the ins and outs of the town, the history behind those places we went to and best of all, he showed us where we could find good food! And the best part of it too were the photos of us that he took. Thanks Giulio!
Thank you Rome Photography Workshop for the excellent service. Highly recommended when you want to be able to bring home a lot of good memories in Rome.”
My photography workshop with Mauro was awesome. He was an excellent instructor in photography both technically and artistically. He really showed me how to use my camera. Not only how to capture beautiful scenes and buildings, but also how to do it with an artistic flair. Not only was he very knowledgeable and a great instructor but also so friendly that he made the experience a very enjoyable one. As a local he knew Rome very well & the best places to go (not as a tourist but as a photographer) and he gave me a complete run down of the history of every place we went to and even of the places we walked past even if we didn’t stop. I can’t wait to do my night photography workshop in July with Rome Photography Workshops! I would highly recommend Mauro in a photography workshop in Rome.”
Thank you very much for arranging the photo tour with Giulio. He was great and really did an outstanding job of conducting us around Rome. I give your organization and Giulio a 5 star rating.”
I just want to say how very, very happy I am with both workshops that you organized for me. Both Mauro and Giulio could not have been nicer, more professional, or more of a pleasure with which to spend time. Both workshops far exceeded my expectations.
I’ve included one of several photos I believe will make, after further refinement, an incredible panorama of the ceiling at Sant’ Andrea della Valle. This is just one of hundreds of great shots that Mauro and Giulio helped me capture.
Rome Photography Workshops is just terrific, and I plan to sing your praises near and far on Facebook and other social media.”
