ROME PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
PHOTO WORKSHOP IN NEW YORK CITY

PHOTO WORKSHOPS IN NEW YORK CITY

In this workshop, you will find yourself in the heart of arguably the world’s most exciting metropolis. Here, a native New Yorker and Brooklyn resident will walk an itinerary where you are bound to capture the intense intersections of characters, dynamics, architectural styles and street scenography. Each walk promises to be completely unique – depending on the day’s cast of subjects, the weather’s mood and the shifting colors of the street.

Focus

This workshop emphasizes the power of observation as a street or urban documentary photographer. While architectural elements play an important role in this session, the magic of New York City is expressed in the fascinating juxtapositions of personalities. Amidst the grandeur of the iconic buildings, parks and monuments, you will discover layers of visual beauty: from the kaleidoscope of graphical backdrops to the fast-moving flow of people immersed in their individual missions. Select from our two proposals or design your own itinerary with us to witness and immerse yourself in this glorious City.

Itineraries

Downtown Morning

This itinerary is best done in the morning light to capture the rising rays in Downtown Manhattan. We start at the tip of the island, near Wall Street and make our way up through the narrow streets of Chinatown; continuing through chic SoHo and the nascent East Village, the workshop concludes at Union Square Park.

Midtown Evening

This itinerary is intended for the evening light, to capture the setting sun and the brilliant lighting of the theater district. Starting at the famous Flatiron Building and Madison Square Park, we head west towards the Highline. From there, we head to Korean town and Herald Square. Just north of there, we land in Times Square. From there, participants can choose to go to Grand Central Terminal or Radio City Music Hall for the last shots of the workshop.
