What our clients say about our workshops and photographers
I hired Rome Photography Workshop to take me around the most famous attractions. I booked with the owner, Claudia, who was very accommodating to my schedule, it was very painless. I meet up with the photographer on a very early morning in front of the Castel Sant’Angelo. He knows the city very well. He also gave me some tips on composing my photos so they don’t look like most of the other shots. But the most important thing the guide did was take me to this local coffee shop not too far from the Pantheon, where I get to eat with the locals. The food was so great there that I ended up going back there to have lunch after our photo walk. If you ever find yourself in Rome and need a photo guide, I would highly recommend you contact Claudia.”

Morning Light
I was able to schedule this city night photography tour at the last minute after being cancelled by another tour. Claudia was very helpful in finding someone to take care of me in a short notice. Brian was my workshop leader. I was very fortunate that he was available that night. He was very knowledgeable, easy to work with and accommodating to my needs. Thank you Rome Photography Workshop for providing me with an outstanding experience during my visit to Rome.”

I just got home from our time in Rome and wanted to leave a review of the morning light photography workshop we did. It was great! What I got out of four hours with Brian was well worth the price of the workshop. I was nervous going in to it that I wouldn’t have enough experience with my camera, that I wouldn’t get my money’s worth and that the workshop would be led by a person who wasn’t very skilled. None of those concerns were reality! It was wonderful to have a native English speaker in this scenario because I had little (read: no) experience with really using my manual settings. Brian was more than qualified – a film and photography professor in Rome! Brian was a solid teacher, he was patient and I learned so much. I think a person with much more experience than I had coming in to it would have learned a lot too….because his experience in the photography and film field was so deep. He was really easy to get along with and additionally, he got a bachelors in architecture history so his commentary on what I was photographing was insightful. The workshop ended up being way more than I had hoped for. I learned real skills that I can build on, took some beautiful pictures and had four hours of one on one direction in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.”

I usually do not write reviews but I am about to make an exception because my experience with the photography tours from Rome Photography Workshop were definitely unforgettable!I did 3 tours with them and my guides were exceptional and so accommodating.
Being a newbie with photography I was a bit nervous but both Mauro and Suzanne were so patient with me that I felt completely at ease with them. They personalised the tour for me so it didn’t even feel like those “commercial tours” and more like I was hanging with my friends who just happen to be experts at photography.
Anyone who is in Rome and wants to do a photography tour I would wholeheartedly recommend the Roman Photography Workshop!
This is the best thing I could have done.”
Thank you so much for an absolutely incredible photo tour. The Morning Light photo tour exceeded my wildest imagination. I booked the tour almost 6 months ago, and was really looking forward to it. We had an exceptional guide as he was informative about both photography and the city of Rome. I can’t possibly recommend this experience enough.”
