Summer light: Anytime 6:00 a.m.– 11 p.m. excluding the hours from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Winter light: Anytime 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. excluding the hours from 12 – 4 p.m.

Rome is full of gorgeous photographic opportunities. Our guides, who are all locals in this city (some were even born here), can show you some of the more hidden corners and off-the-beaten-track shots. In a customized tour, we collaborate with you – what you would like to see, experience and capture – to create the tour best suited to your style. 

Please note that besides Rome, we can also provide custom workshops in Tuscany, Abruzzo and Sicily. Outside of Italy, our photographer guides are available in New York and Seattle. 

Focus

This workshop provides you with the ideal itinerary for your photographic interests and style. The workshop can be held in the morning or evening light; the midday light is not recommended for shooting. You will have the opportunity to select places you wish to see at specific times of day, or research locations you have never seen before. Given their acquired familiarity with the city, our guides will work with you and offer suggestions geared most suitable to your curiosities and enjoyment.

Who is this for ?

Hobbyists / amateurs / beginners : The Custom tour will be useful on a practical level for beginners, as our photographer guides can improve your knowledge of your camera and its use, as well as providing tips and tricks for taking photographs. This is also a great choice for families, as we can customize the tour to include tweens, teens and their budding interest in photography. 

Professionals / experienced photographers: If you know what you want to shoot, or if you are working on a series, we can create the itinerary that fits perfectly for you. Our photographers share information on Rome, and can answer highly technical and logistical questions about photography as well as provide tips for future shooting.

Students: Classes of up to 25 undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to take this workshop. Please inquire about our student and group pricing.

Extras

Each workshop includes a stop for coffee, gelato or pizza (depending on your preferences) at authentic Roman locales.

You may choose to use taxis during this tour to cover more of the City, depending on how much you would like to see.
