Fleeting patterns and wisps of color – the cinematic photos of Gueorgui Pinkhassov

The Russian-born photographer Gueorgui Pinkhassov is renowned for his street style, reminiscent of the great photographer who inspired him: Henri Cartier-Bresson. Pinkhassov’s works familiar frame scenes into abstraction, questioning their very essence. The Magnum photographer rarely exhibits, but is prolific on Instagram, where his colorful shots tell stories through pattern and sweeping gesture.
