What our clients say about our workshops and photographers
I hired Rome Photography Workshop to take me around the most famous attractions. I booked with the owner, Claudia, who was very accommodating to my schedule, it was very painless. I meet up with the photographer on a very early morning in front of the Castel Sant’Angelo. He knows the city very well. He also gave me some tips on composing my photos so they don’t look like most of the other shots. But the most important thing the guide did was take me to this local coffee shop not too far from the Pantheon, where I get to eat with the locals. The food was so great there that I ended up going back there to have lunch after our photo walk. If you ever find yourself in Rome and need a photo guide, I would highly recommend you contact Claudia.”

Morning Light
Night photography with Mauro was very special. I always wanted to photograph Fontana di Trevi at night. Mauro took his time to explain & show me how to take gorgeous night shots of the fountain . The photos were magnificent…. love them. Mauro took me to some amazing places in Rome to photograph and always showing me how to take the perfect shot. He is a talented photographer with a great personality. Looking forward to my next workshop with him. Thank you Mauro.”Julie C.

City Night
A quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed last night’s tour with Giullio. His master of light taught me much, The settings were perfect. His vast knowledge of Rome insightful. Very. It was a truly memorable evening in Rome. All that I was hoping for and more. Much more.”

I just got home from our time in Rome and wanted to leave a review of the morning light photography workshop we did. It was great! What I got out of four hours with Brian was well worth the price of the workshop. I was nervous going in to it that I wouldn’t have enough experience with my camera, that I wouldn’t get my money’s worth and that the workshop would be led by a person who wasn’t very skilled. None of those concerns were reality! It was wonderful to have a native English speaker in this scenario because I had little (read: no) experience with really using my manual settings. Brian was more than qualified – a film and photography professor in Rome! Brian was a solid teacher, he was patient and I learned so much. I think a person with much more experience than I had coming in to it would have learned a lot too….because his experience in the photography and film field was so deep. He was really easy to get along with and additionally, he got a bachelors in architecture history so his commentary on what I was photographing was insightful. The workshop ended up being way more than I had hoped for. I learned real skills that I can build on, took some beautiful pictures and had four hours of one on one direction in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.”

Thank you for your email. I very much enjoyed my tour yesterday. The guide was there right on time and spoke very good English which made the tour very easy flowing. He was very friendly and eager to share his trade. His technical knowledge, assisting me with a variety of settings was very helpful. His overall photographic knowledge combined with his in depth knowledge of Rome’s best photo spots made it a very productive tour. I went to places and made photos that I never would have been able to make without him. I even learned some history along the way. I can’t wait to get back home and take a closer look at them.”
